Background

Virginia Hayward Ltd was established by the Hayward Family in 1984 and remain a family owned and run business. Housed in beautifully adapted traditional farm buildings in Dorset, they are ideally positioned to benefit from the wealth of award winning food producers in the West Country and are committed to finding the best of local, national and international produce for inclusion in their gifts and hampers.

The company required a new website that would help them to increase market share in their competitive sector, increase sales and build relationships with consumer and corporate customers.

Solution

Imaginet created a design that not only conveys the quality product and professional customer services, but also helps to increase sales via great site architecture and user-centred navigation. Other key features include:

  • An extensive catalogue database providing Virginia Hayward staff with control over how products are promoted.
  • The site integrates with the company’s back-end distribution system, allowing visitors to track their order at each stage.
  • It also incorporates sophisticated and complex functionality to cater for multiple delivery addresses and delivery of perishable products.
  • Customers can add a personalised message to their hamper enhancing the overall fulfillment service.
  • Visitors can sign up to receive regular newsletters from Virginia Hayward helping to increase sales and drive traffic.
  • A range of search engine optimisation tactics were implemented to boost traffic to the website and ensure that it could be found on the internet by those who had not heard of the company.

Results

The site has won the New Media Age magazine Site of the Week award, scoring a massive 95 out a potential 100.
